The results were, to be honest, quite spectacular. I picked up a Wii earlier this year and decided to hack it to see what benefits that would provide. Both available to install from within the ModMii tool.Skip to: Part I - Exploit | Part II - Wiiflow Introduction So you have options - Wiigator patched MIOS for playing burned discs or DiosMios2.6 for loading rips from a USB drive. There's a ripping tool on the same site as the DiosMios download that will rip your games for you. You can also get this WAD file from the same area in ModMii I think if you don't want to get it manually. Now you can play rips not from disc but from a hard drive - just put the game in the USB:/games folder. To do that, get the file I linked to in my first post (DiosMios 2.6) and install that WAD instead. Now, if your drive can't read burned discs or your want to get with what people are currently doing for GC loading then you probably want to just run GC disc rips directly from an external hard-drive. Once this patched MIOS is installed it should work as you expect. ModMii will also generate a little guide to tell you what to do should you be unsure. If you get it from there you will end up with a WAD you can install as I mentioned above. That said, if MIOS Patcher isn't working, you can get the Wiigator patched MIOS from within ModMii on Download page 4, under (cM)IOSs. There's some online check somewhere where you can put in your serial number and it'll tell you if you have a drive that works with backup discs.
If you have a Wii from about 2011 onwards the drive in it won't be able to even read burned discs so check that before you go down this path. Firstly I'll be upfront and tell you I have never used this tool or loaded GC games from burned DVD backups.
